I have a Johnson & Smith book which was in the “Racine Wisconsin ” location at the time it is missing pages and most are so brittle they fall apart when touched . would it be of any value ?
Unfortunately, when the book gets that fragile it has little value. Is it a thick book or a thin one? Johnson Smith & Company was located in Racine from 1923 to 1936, when they moved the company to Detroit.
Sometimes these fragile books come up for sale on eBay but they don’t get a very good price because often there are pages missing or the pages are just to fragile. You probably just need to enjoy the book for what it is — a fun piece of history.
Good luck with it.
